2024 Spring semester – Japanese presentation and farewells

Japanese presentation

As part of the "Japanese Affairs II" course for international students taught by Prof. Ishikawa, a presentation on the theme of “My Study in Japan” was held on July 30. It was a remarkable experience, as the exchange students showcased their experiences and discoveries during their time in Japan, and most impressively, delivered their presentations entirely in Japanese without any notes. This achievement is a testament to their hard work and dedication, and it was particularly moving to see the students' heartfelt expressions of gratitude to those who have supported them, as well as their demonstration of personal growth during their studies.

International Centre Supporter Farewell Party

On August 2, a farewell party was hosted by the International Center Supporters for the outgoing exchange students.
At the party, the International Center Supporter memebers handed each exchange student a certificate of appreciation celebrating their accomplishments during their study abroad experience. This special gesture was a wonderful way to acknowledge the students' hard work and dedication.

The farewell party provided a meaningful opportunity for international and Japanese students to share fond memories of their time together, bid each other farewell, and reflect on the connections they made during their time on campus.

International Hall (dormitory) Farewell Party

There was another farewell party held on August 2, this time by the students at the International Hall. The Japanese students came together to show appreciation to their roommates with whom they share a unique bond through their living experiences.
The students expressed their heartfelt gratitude through thoughtful cards and gifts, a beautiful testament to the meaningful relationships they have formed during their time at the International Hall.

We are pleased to confirm that the six exchange students from the spring semester of 2024 returned home safely in mid-August. We wish them the best of luck in making the most of their studies and experiences gained here, and achieving their respective goals.

We are also looking forward to welcoming a new group of exchange students to Tokiwa University for the fall semester of this year. 11 students from 8 countries (the United States, Canada, Poland, Thailand, Vietnam, Korea, China, and Mongolia) will join us.
